9 Producers, 26,000 head, 19,000 hectares, all with 3G, want your IoT devices

#

A group of nine mixed farming producers running beef cattle, sheep and fodder crops in Western Australia have formed a Technology Innovation Interest Group with a focus on ground truthing the claims of technical readiness and the business value proposition with respect to ‘smart farms’ and utilisation of IoT devices.

With support from Meat and Livestock Australia, these nine producers are making their properties available for global solution providers and developers to install relevant IoT devices on their herd/flock and properties.

If you would like to further develop your technology, or ideally have a technology that you either believe, or are claiming is commercially ready, then we would like to hear from you. At a minimum you are to fit out all of the animals on a single farm (or more). We are not looking for solution providers only wanting to issue ’10’ trial tags. So pick one producer’s business or multiple, the choice is yours.

Respond to this post if your company is ready to have its technology ground truthed and promoted positively in one of the worlds pending largest ‘fit bit’ trials for livestock.

Below is a summary of the nine producers operations:
