As organisations, communities and Government seek a cleaner and more sustainable form of economic growth, BioTech New Zealand and New Zealand IoT Alliance have joined forces to showcase CleanTech innovations around New Zealand, and to provide a platform for learning and networking. In particular, you will hear how Sustainable Coastlines recently attracted a grant from Microsoft’s US$50 million, five-year commitment to put AI in the hands of those working to protect our planet across four key areas: agriculture, biodiversity, climate change, and water. Sustainable Coastlines  launched in New Zealand in 2009 to educate, motivate and empower individuals and communities to clean up and restore their coastal environments and waterways. Come and listen to Sustainable Coastlines’ co-founder Camden Howitt discuss the project, and learn how they will shift to an AI model to determine where rubbish comes from and its migration patterns and other trends. James Muir from Callaghan Innovation will also speak about how CleanTech offers vital opportunities for New Zealand businesses. Network with like-minded people and meet the companies creating clean technology to make a difference to New Zealand.
